动势-周洪涛个展上海同济大学博物馆展出

同济大学博物馆作为砖木混合结构的历史建筑，其改造设计最大限度地保留了建筑物的内外部形式特征，两层通高的室间，新旧元素对比分明，交接清晰。”动势”装置通过对同济博物馆室内空间的解读与思考，采用动态艺术形式对空间进行创作与演绎。装置通过气流与薄膜材料的互动，对空间打破与重组、扭曲与连接，产生了刚与柔的对话，空气动力与空间转承呼应，并尽可能使得装置介入整合建筑的空间感觉，邀请观众参与互动。装置展现了现代艺术的想象空间以及创意的多种可能性，希望观众对空间、动态、行为以及生存形态进行思考。展览提醒我们空间的营造方式，空间的扩展形式以及大城市里人们对空间无休止的需求和欲望。装置的风机启动和关闭，使得观众目睹了装置空间的生成，也使装置成为了建筑中呼吸的互动巨肺。展览还包括周洪涛的小型《文本景观》3D打印和小型曲木弯曲雕塑。

Momentum- Hongtao Zhou Solo Exhibition at Tongji University Museum， Shanghai

Tongji University Museum in Shanghai is a restored historical building from 1940 as one of the classic wooden and brick structure on campus. The exhibition space is very unique with two roles of concrete columns to separate the vast floor. Momentum inflatable installation respects the unique spatial quality of the building and explores possibilities of potential intervention to generate dialogue. It takes advantage of the transparent membrane materials and air flow to contrast soft movements in this historical concrete structure. The installation reorganizes the space by twisting, connecting, blending and interacting to create dialogue among materials and audience. It means to integrate the installation with the space property and demonstrate the imagination and possibility of modern art in a site specific museum space and provoke visitors to react to the space transition, material behaviour and the vary forms of our living space. Audience witness the creation of new space when the flat membrane was inflated and realize the expansion and endless desire of space in big cities. The on and off air flow makes it a living lung for the building. The exhibition also includes small scale works of Textscape 3D prints and wood bending sculptures from the artist.
